A baseline captures how an agent usually behaves, so deviations stand out. Security teams use the term for anomaly and threat detection. The version that matters for a business owner is different: a baseline of correct business behavior, so you can tell when accuracy, policy adherence, or escalation start to slip. That is the signal drift detection is built on.
